Something new is happening on Granville Island — and I’m excited to finally share it.

Hair Studio Granville Island is my new creative home.

A one-on-one studio built around great hair, real connection and the freedom to create.

After 26 years behind the chair, I still believe the most interesting hair happens when you stop trying to make everyone look the same. I’m an artist, and hair is the medium I chose. Cutting, colour, texture, shape — taking an idea and turning it into something that feels completely individual to the person wearing it.

That’s what I want this studio to be about.

Hair is personal.

I chose Granville Island because creativity is everywhere here. Artists, makers, independent businesses, fashion, jewellery, food, colour, texture — people making things with their hands and putting a little bit of themselves into what they do.

That energy inspires me.

You might see a hair colour inspired by something I spotted walking through the Island. An outfit from a local shop paired with a new look. Jewellery from a local maker. Fall leaves that spark a colour palette. A drink we’re serving in the studio. Or a collaboration with one of the creative people around me.

That’s also what this Journal will be about.
